The city of Bath is a Roman trace in the history of Great Britain. The Romans discovered thermal springs and established a spa resort there. Now it’s the most important attraction in South West England.

The complex of Roman baths consists of the main bath, the Sacred Spring, a Roman temple and a museum with artifacts from the excavations. In addition to this sight, the city has a medieval abbey and two masterpieces from the Georgian era: the three-arch Pulteney Bridge and the Royal Crescent.

Brighton is sometimes called ‘London by the sea’. However, Brighton is similar to the capital only in property prices, but not in character. It’s worth coming there for the creative, bohemian atmosphere.

You can stroll through the local pubs, or visit the cafes along the North Laine. Then, grab your hire car and drive to the sea. Wander the boardwalk, sit in striped sun loungers, and explore the eccentric, oriental-inspired Royal Pavilion, built by King George IV.

Cotswolds is the place where travelers seek the perfect rural landscapes. If you are among them, hire a car and hit the road. In the Cotswolds, time seemed to stand still. Sheep graze in the meadows in the same way as they did three hundred years ago.

Quiet sleepy streets, English gardens blooming in summer, shell rock houses with thatched roof look like in a fairy tale. If you have long dreamed of enjoying the English countryside, then this is a perfect chance for you.

Fresh fish, seafood, excellent fish and chips, and, of course, oysters – just for this you have to pick up a hire car to come to Whitstable. A leisurely day at the beach, away from the bustling capital, will brighten up your vacation. It’s enough to move a few hundred meters away from the central part of the beach so that there are significantly fewer people around. And if you want to be active, you can take a kayak or balance on a SUP-board.

The bay is very beautiful: fishing boats, ropes on the shore, and multicolored catch boxes look really beautiful.

On the shore you will find something that attracts bloggers and photographers there. These are colorful beach huts. Don’t let the modest appearance deceive you – the cost of such a house reaches £150,000. The owners paint them in bright colors and decorate them to their liking: with signs, nautical ropes and other cute details. This is a great backdrop for your travel photos at any time of the year.

Seven Sisters Cliffs

Seven Sisters are snow-white chalk cliffs, spectacularly towering over the English Channel. They are located 87 miles from London. Public transport doesn’t have a direct connection to this attraction, thus a hire car is the best way to get there.

Beautiful nature, fresh breeze, endless fields and the sea are what you will see when you arrive. Be careful not to get too close to the cliff: in 2017, a girl from Korea decided to take a spectacular shot and jumped at the very edge. There was a tragedy – she fell down.

The main attraction of Windsor is the favorite residence of Queen Elizabeth II. Windsor Castle is the largest inhabited castle in the world. In the castle itself, you can spend at least the whole day: look at the doll house of Queen Mary, explore Prince Albert’s chapel, as well as stroll through halls for official royal receptions.

The castle is richly decorated with tapestries, masterpieces of painting, armor, gold and other status items. Part of the residence is closed to visitors as the Queen loves to spend the summer there.

On the other side of the Thames is the Eaton town with a famous private college. If you want, take your hire car and drive there.

Who doesn’t know Cambridge and the famous university? The car hire trip from London to Cambridge takes just over an hour. Cambridge is one of the oldest university centers in Europe, which has existed for more than 800 years and has trained 120 Nobel laureates.

Since the Middle Ages, this town has had a regular geometric layout and architectural ensembles of colleges, grouped around rectangular blocks. Be sure to explore the campus, but don’t forget the city itself.

It has such landmarks as the Romanesque round church, the King’s College Gothic Chapel built in the 15th century and other amazing sights.
